Health Screening Frequency

It is recommended to undergo a health screening annually, especially if you are 30 yearsold and above or have a family history of chronic conditions. Our doctors can provide personalised recommendations based on your health profile

Fasting Requirements

Fasting is not required for non-fasting health screening tests; however, it is advisable to avoid heavy meals before your health screening. If your health screening includes an abdominal/liver ultrasound, you must fast for at least 8 hours before your appointment (no food or drinks). If you are scheduled for a urea breath test, you should avoid all food but may drink plain water up to 4 hours before the test.

Yes, non-fasting tests are reliable. Opting for non-fasting health screening tests provides flexibility and convenience. 

Here are some considerations for non-fasting health screening tests: 

  • Suitable if you do not have anaemia or high cholesterol and are not on any cholesterol-lowering medication. 
  • Not recommended if you require an abdominal/liver ultrasound or urea breath test. 
  • Allows you to have a light breakfast before your appointment. 

Simply quote “NF” when booking your health screening appointment, ( only available during afternoon slots). 

Note: If your HbA1C (blood sugar test) is borderline or your triglyceride levels  

are extremely high, the doctor may recommend an additional fasting blood test.  

This may incur an additional charge.  

Yes, you must fast for at least 8 hours before your appointment, if you are undergoing: 

  • Abdominal/liver ultrasound 
  • Urea breath test 
  • MRE liver scan 

Medications

  • Diabetes medication, (e.g., insulin) should be delayed until fasting tests are completed. 
  • Do not take any TCM medication a night before the health screening.
  • Heart and high blood pressure medications can be taken as usual. 
  • Other routine medications or supplements should also be taken after your screening, if fasting is required. 
  • If you are unwell, please reschedule your health screening until you have fully recovered.” 

What to Bring

Bring the following documents when you are coming for your appointment: 

  • Singapore NRIC/Passport/Employment Pass/Work Permit. 
  • Company letter, Letter of Guarantee, authorisation letter, or staff pass, (if applicable). 
  • Previous medical report(s) and radiology film(s), (if available). 
  • Complete the Health Screening Questionnaire included in your appointment confirmation email before your visit.

After Your Health Screening

Your health screening report will be sent via email within 10 working days. We do not provide hard copies.

A personalised medical review is included within four months of your screening date.
Additional reviews will incur consultation charges.

  • Telemedicine Review: Schedule your appointment through the LiveFuller app.

  • Email: Contact us at ehs@fullertonhealth.com to indicate your interest in booking a review. 

Others

You may defer the submission. Please ensure that you submit the samples within two months from the date of your health screening. 

You can drop off the specimens at any Fullerton Health clinic. Please refer to a list of our locations at the of this page.

You may still attend your health screening appointment. However, the following tests should be deferred until at least 10 days after your last day of menstruation:  

  1. ThinPrep/HPV DNA 
  2. Urine test 
  3. Stool test 

For more accurate results, it is advisable to reschedule your appointment for at least two weeks after you have fully recovered.

It is advisable that TCM treatment is done 2 weeks before your health screening.
